The Volunteer Team

Our team of fantastic leaders are what makes St Luke's such a success. It's an amazingly rewarding thing to do and incredible fun at the same time. Not only can you take part in the activities, but the team organises its own social events and works together to provide a vital service to the young people of Maidstone.

Training is provided and there are different roles so that we can be as flexible as you are!

Occasional Helpers

Our leadership team are supported by a large number of Occasional Helpers who (as the name suggests) can't commit to helping every week, but have a skill, interest or simply enjoy working with our young people. There's no training to do, but you will need to pass a DBS check.

The Trustee Board

Our Board comprises the trustees of our charity and make all the decisions about the running of the group, its policies, finances and health & safety. It's a crucial part of the group and meets about 5 times a year (biscuits included!) so it's not a huge time drain.  Find out more.

Friends of St Luke's Scouts

We're starting a group who meet once in a while socially with our Team Members to stay in touch with all the friends that we make on the way and so that they can help out when they can. If you'd like to join in the fun, check out the FOSL page and get in touch through the Join St Luke's page.

Are you handy?

The Scout Group is very fortunate to own its own building, a small area of land and the minibus, but it all needs looking after. We also have some little projects that we need help with. If you're a handyman or woman and can spare some time and skill, please let us know.
