Team Member Interest Meeting
Talk to your candidate(s) about when they plan on holding this meeting. This meeting will be held with a LLS Staff member and will give you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) (If you're under 18 a parent/guardian is required) a chance to learn more about the program, how you can help as a Team Member, and ask questions.
After this meeting you can OFFICIALLY register as a Team Member!
Check out the Team Member Hall of Fame Checklist
Your first stop should be checking out the Team Member Hall of Fame Checklist. Even though you only have to complete FIVE items to be in the Hall of Fame, you can complete all of them! These tasks were formulated to set YOU up for success before the campaign starts, so make sure to take full advantage of all the amazing opportunities to grow personally, academically, and professionally!

(These three items are needed to mark this item off your Hall of Fame checklist)
Your website will also allow you to:
Collect donations securely via credit card

Create Your Contact List
In order to send emails and letters to your entire network, it's important to think through WHO you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) know!
Check out these handy dandy Brainstorming documents to help you think through each of your different networks. Make sure to do this with your parent(s)/guardian(s), they are going to know A LOT more people than you do and may already have a wedding list, Christmas/holiday card list, graduation list, etc. that you can use to send letters to!
You can even start filling them in, in your personal Contact List Sheet! All you need to do is:
Download a copy for you to personally edit
Fill in ALL the information the columns ask for
Make sure you have at least 25 contacts (if you have less than 25 contacts we will not send letters out for you) **Also flagging that we will send up to 100 letters for you! So put down everyone you know so that they have a chance to give to your campaign! Don't say no for someone :)
Once you've filled everything in send it to your LLS Staff member so they can make sure everything is entered in correctly
Last but certainly not least, choose which letter template you would like us to send out to your contacts on your behalf (Once you decide which one you like, just copy and paste it into a new Word or Google Doc, add your WHY, and then send it to your LLS Staff member so they can finish updating it)
Your contact list will be due December 31st
Email Writing
Emails are one of the most efficient ways to fundraise. Supporters tend to donate 20% more online so it is important to follow up with your network each week (during the campaign) to ensure that they have plenty of opportunities to support you, receive updates about your campaign, and information about special events.
Don't know how to start or what to write? Don't fret! We've got a template for that too!
Social Media
You can use social media to your advantage during this campaign! Post your fundraising link on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platform you prefer. Check out our "Marketing 101" tab to see all the great resources that are at your disposal!
Please note that it is imperative that you follow these instructions exactly to link your campaign to Facebook. If you don't this may result in funds you raise not being counted in your total.
