St. Joseph College of Canlaon Inc. is located in Canlaon City at the northern most part of Negros Oriental. SJCCI is a private, Catholic school in Negros Oriental. It was established in 1957 as the Saint Joseph Academy (SJA) through the initiatives of Columban priests. The academy initially had a high school program. Eventually, the school was managed by both the parish priest and the Franciscan Apostolic Sisters, who set up a new building for the opening of the college department. Consequently, the school was renamed to Saint Joseph College fo Canlaon.
SJCCI currently has programs from the elementary to the college level. Its basic education department includes a senior high school (SHS) unit offering the Academic track. The college department, on the other hand, provides undergraduate programs in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Business Administration, and Computer Technology.
St. Joseph College of Canlaon, Inc. and its programs are duly recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). It is also a member of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP).Â
