Uelvesbüll wreck Husum, Germany - 3D model by Stichting Archeos Fryslan (@archeosfryslan)
This wreck was found in 1994 during construction work in the Uelvesbüller Koog, Nordfriesland, Schleswig Holstein, North Germany. It is a flat-bottomed Dutch cargo vessel, which could also sail in shallow waters. The dendrochronological examination of the oak wood used in the construction revealed that the keel was laid around 1600. About twenty years later there was an accident off the Adolfskoog: The vessel sank in a tidal channel. After salvage and a two-year stabilisation phase in a sugar solution, the wreck has been on display in the Nordfriesland Maritime Museum since April 1998. https://www.schiffahrtsmuseum-nf.de/index.php?id=uelvesbueller_wrack. The model has been created during a short visit to the museum in August 2022. - Uelvesbüll wreck Husum, Germany - 3D model by Stichting Archeos Fryslan (@archeosfryslan)

Limonite concretion from the IJsselmeer seabed - 3D model by Stichting Archeos Fryslan (@archeosfryslan)
A block of limonite concretion found on the seabed at a depth of 4m of the IJsselmeer (NL) near Kornwerderzand. This block (15x15cm) was a part of a larger vein (5m x 0,5m) just on top of the clay layer in the dredged shipping route towards the Afsluitdijk. Limonite concretions, also known as limonite nodules or limonite balls, are geological formations composed primarily of the mineral limonite, which is a type of iron ore. (NL: moerasijzererts, ijzeroer) The formation of this concretion sediment goes back to the Holocene era (3850 BC - 500 BC) when this area was covered with peat.
