St. Georges Charity Mixed Doubles playing for the Nicholas Rhodes Trophy

Bowling Club Update - 28th March, 2024

Both greens are now open for practice by all members, with the weather currently being the determining factor in terms of the quality and pace of the greens.

A work party undertook maintenance tasks on 16th March, 2024, but due to the small numbers in attendance only the painting of the top pavilion and leaf clearance around the bottom green was completed, despite much preparation being carried out in readiness. Many thanks to those who attended.

Continued support is required in order to undertake the many and varied tasks that are required every week to maintain the facilities and surrounds in the condition to which we all aspire. Contact Ian Gaut - Groundsman (07971 878095) to arrange your tasks and dates accordingly.

Going forward into 2024 - 

The greens have been continually worked on during the winter and so have the surrounds (Big thank you to Ian, Jeff, John, Alan and all other helpers)

Subscriptions will be as follows for 2024 - (All payable by 30th April, 2024 to avoid a £3.50 fine for each month not paid)

Full Members £35.00 All members aged 18 or over at 1st January each year

Senior Members £25.00 All members over the National retirement age at 1st January each year

Junior Members NO FEE All members aged 18 or under at 1st January each year

Student Members NO FEE All members aged 18 or over at 1st January each year who are in full time education

Life Members NO FEE All members whose contribution to the Cub has been recognised by the Bowling Club

Associate Members NO FEE All members playing less than 5 matches for the Bowling Club, at the behest of Club Captains. Thereafter, a fee of £5 will be charged to that member. Management Committee discretion covers all cases.

SGBC Constitution Rule 12 - VI

All Club members must also be members of St. George's Sports & Social Club

Please support the Bowling Club as without your membership, participation and continued support we would not be able to offer you such good facilities.
