Atkinson Morely Courtyard, St George's Hospital site
11am - 4:30pm
Join textile designer Nicky Simpson who, with your help, will be creating a huge trail of decorative bunting, to be installed at the hospital.
Using foliage, leaves and ferns picked on the St George's site, botanical pattens will be printed on to cotton triangular bunting using dyes and a heat press.
Once you have created your artwork, your triangle flag will be sewn (live) onto the bigger piece of bunting, reflecting on the co-dependant make up of the hospital community.
All materials will be provided for this simple, fun and satisfying activity, it only takes 5 minutes!
The Professor & Mrs Harold Lambert Water Garden, St George's Hospital site
12:30- 1:30pm
Opera Holland Park’s Inspire department will treat us to a live opera recital taking place on the decking in the Water Garden outside the Grosvenor Wing, based around our chosen theme of nature. Peter Martin (Tenor) and Melodie Hornett (Soprano) will be singing samples of beautiful and inspiring music, all centred around the great outdoors.
The vocalists will then perform at Queen Mary's Hospital between 3-4pm.
