OUR BELIEFS AND VALUES

Our Beliefs

Church at the Hub is a Jesus-centred community. Everything we do is through Him and for Him.

At Church at the Hub, we adhere to the Apostles' Creed. This is our "I Believe" statement that we share as a community:

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit

and born of the virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried;

he descended to hell.

The third day he rose again from the dead.

He ascended to heaven

and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.

From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit

the holy Christian church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

and the life everlasting. Amen.

Our Values

At Church at the Hub, our life together is centred on Jesus. From Him flow four values that guide our community:

Awake - Through Jesus, we long for people to awaken to the presence of God in the world and in their lives. "Awake, you sleeper! Rise from your grave, and the Anointed One will shine on you." - Ephesians 5:14

Belong - Through Jesus, we invite people to discover that everyone belongs to the family of God. "And so you are no longer called outcasts and wanderers but citizens with God's people, members of God's holy family, and residents of His household." - Ephesians 2:19

Restore - Through Jesus, we pursue the restoration of relationships, communities, and lives. "He makes me whole again, steering me off worn, hard paths to roads where truth and righteousness echo His name." - Psalm 23:3

Flourish - Through Jesus, we encourage people to live flourishing lives rooted in His love and purpose. "I came to give life with joy and abundance." - John 10:10
