TX 20051st AFJROTC
Are you looking for a class/program that will allow you to become the leader you are? Or are you wanting to find out if you have personal skills to lead a class yourself? Do you feel like you could be a great mentor for other students in which other students look up to you? If you honestly answered yes to any of these questions, the Stevens AFJROTC Program may be a perfect fit for you.
The TX-20051st AFJROTC Program is a Cadet (Student) ran / Cadet Led program that focuses on developing discipline, leadership, confidence, respect, along with other attributes students have to become better citizens of character, not only within themselves but within their homes and in the community.
The program is set up in a military like format that will hold cadets accountable, teach them how to wear the Air Force Uniform, participate in Physical Training (PT) once a week, and learn military Drill and Ceremonies throughout the year. Cadets also have the opportunity to be a part of Competition Drill Teams, Cyber Patriot and Aero Club teams as well.
JROTC is considered a PE Credit where students can opt out of regular PE classes and earn their credit through this program. You will attend JROTC during the school day as one of your class periods.
By staying in the program for two to three years, Cadets can earn certificates of completion that can help them promote one to two ranks higher during Basic Military Training as well as offer three scholarships for college or to obtain a personal pilots license. With NO OBLIGATION to join the Military, Cadets learn to work in teams, teach as a team, and lead teams in a variety of ways but making sure academics are the fore front of their high school career.
