Make your own guilt-free oats and banana cake

Here’s a recipe for sugar- and flour-free oats and banana cake that I’ve been playing around with and which I think you’ll like.

The picture above, borrowed from the net, is pretty close to how mine looks, except mine is oblong.

It s very easy to make.

Take two cups of organic rolled oats and place them in a bowl.

Warm up one and a half cups of oat milk, add it to the oats, mix and leave to soak for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes add a pinch or two of natural organic salt.

Also add two organic eggs.

Mix thoroughly then add:

·  3 mashed organic bananas

·  6 tablespoons of organic cocoa

·  1.5 tablespoons of organic baking soda

·  A tablespoon of Stevia or Inulin (more if you want it sweeter)

Thoroughly mix

Pour into a baking tin lined with baking parchment. Sprinkle on organic walnuts (about half a cup, ground up a bit to make small fragments)

Preheat oven to 180 C

Place tray in oven for 40 minutes.

Then remove once cooked and pour over it some melted organic dark chocolate. About a third of a cup should be enough but you can vary it according to your taste.

I use my own homemade organic chocolate – find the recipe for it here.

Allow to cool, then scoff.
