Stevan Gajović
I am a postdoc at Charles University, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and my mentor is Vita Kala. Previously, I was a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, mentored by Pieter Moree, and a PhD student of Jan Steffen Müller at the University of Groningen, Department of Algebra.
My field of research is number theory and explicit arithmetic geometry.
I have researched p-adic methods for rational and integral points on curves, including variations on the method of Chabauty and Coleman, which is the title of my PhD thesis. I also have research experience and a great interest in arithmetic statistics and Diophantine equations. Also, I am interested in applications of number theory to other areas of mathematics (in particular, algebra, logic, cryptography) and in methods of teaching of mathematics.
NEWS: There are two new postdoc positions in Prague (mentored by Pavlo Yatsyna and Vita Kala), see the job advertisement: https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs/list/23598.
I am one of the organisers of the conference Young Number Theorists in Bonn at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn.
