Daily Schedule:

9:30-9:40 Journal Writing (Students work on name writing at the start of the year. As they year progresses they write in journals using sound spelling).

9:40-9:55 Circle Time (At circle time we sing a welcome song, recite nursery rhymes, do the daily calendar and weather, introduce the number and letter for the week.)

9:55-10:05 Letter Work at Tables (Preschoolers work on a letter writing worksheet one day and hands on activities that reinforce the letter on the other day.)

10:05-10:15 Literacy Centers (Book Nook, Magnet letters, sight words, Writing in Sand, Reading around the Room, Alphabet Stamps, Rainbow Writing, ABC Games).

10:15-10:35 Free Choice Centers (Blocks, Dramatic Play, Puzzles, Art, Play doh, Sensory Table, Math Games

Center activities change on a monthly basis to coordinate with our themes. While children do centers, I work individually with children on reading, writing names, reviewing letters, etc…)

10:35-10:45 Clean Up and Snack Time

10:45-10:55 Music and Gross Motor Activity (We learn songs related to the theme we are learning and participate in active activities to get our wiggles out.)

10:55-11:10 Math (Preschoolers participate in a whole group math lesson followed by an activity to reinforce the concept taught).

11:10-11:20 Story Time and Theme Lessons (Stories and lessons related to the current theme.)

11:20-11:40 Art Project

11:40 Clean Up and Pack Bags and Greet Parents
