I am a dedicated researcher and scholar currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science at the University of Florida. My academic journey has been shaped by a strong commitment to understanding governance and development in Africa, with a focus on democracy, local governance, electoral behavior, and political institutions. I am also deeply interested in how foreign aid and public policy influence development outcomes, particularly in the context of gender and marginalized groups. My work has earned recognition, including an Honorable Mention for the Graduate Student Paper Award at the African Studies Association.
I have extensive experience in research and teaching, having served as a Research Assistant at both Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and The University of Alabama. Currently, I serve as a teaching and research assistant at the University of Florida, Department of Political Science. My research skills span survey design, mixed methods, and data analysis using tools like R-Studio, SPSS and Excel. I have published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences. Beyond academia, I have worked in various administrative and policy-oriented roles, including internships with the Ghana Police Authority and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
I am passionate about fostering collaborative research and engaging in projects that promote democratic governance and effective leadership. In my free time, I enjoy participating in leadership seminars, mentoring students, and exploring innovative approaches to community development.
