A well stated "fact" is that women make seventy seven cense for every dollar a man makes. Time Magazine rebuttals this argument stating "No matter how many times this wage gap claim is decisively refuted by economists, it always comes back. The 23-cent gender pay gap is simply the difference between the average earnings of all men and women working full-time. It does not account for differences in occupations, positions, education, job tenure or hours worked per week." (Hoff, 5). While there is a pay gap, it is important to do research and realize that it is not actually quite as large as some may say. Although, no matter how small or large the pay gap is, it still exists and that is what is truly unacceptable. The chart to the left is a more accurate example of what the wage gap is, ranging from thirty five cense to nine cense, in every state of the United States.
