Costings

You have 2 tasks

  1. Make a list of the items you need to buy for your garden design

  2. Make a list of different materials and costs that you could use for the patio.

Use the internet to search for garden sheds, paving or decking, fence panels, etc. You might find 2 options for your client and ask them to decide. Use a spreadsheet again to keep a record of items and costs.

Criteria

Task 1

  • Use the internet and catalogues to research items needed for your garden design

  • Make a list of items needed for your garden

  • Record items and link to website on a spreadsheet

  • Find the cost per fence panel then total cost depending on how many your design needs

  • Find the cost per metre squared for patio surface then the total cost depending on the size of the surface

  • Find a total cost of materials

Task 2

  • Use the internet and catalogues to research different patio surfaces, e.g. decking, cobblestones, slate, limestone, etc
