Black civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. took a great leap. Perhaps even the biggest leap in the history of mankind. Dr. MLK stood bravely in front of white and black men and women to state what is right in the face of man. He quoted, “Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase.”. After quoting this, he took his first step, every other step was higher than the other. Eventually, he took the leap. When he took that great leap, he changed mankind forever. The view of equality and the wrongs of segregation and discrimination were seen by the people formerly opposing MLK. This revolutionary step would not have been possible if it was not for Dr. MLK’s bravery when taking the enormous leap that changed the world.
My reason for choosing this SS component is because I wanted to point out that taking the leap is not just a sentence with no definition. Taking the leap can be changing the world, changing a life, or even changing the future.
