STEMPATH Nepal is a student-led, non-profit educational organization working to expand access to science, technology, engineering, and health-related learning for students across Nepal. We are committed to serving learners from all backgrounds, particularly those who face barriers to quality education due to geographic, economic, or resource limitations
Our organization operates at the intersection of education, mentorship, and community partnership. We design and deliver academically grounded programs that support foundational STEM learning, provide mentorship and academic exposure, and connect students with educational resources and opportunities. Through collaboration with schools, educators, and local organizations, we work to create practical and sustainable pathways for students to engage with science and health-focused education.
The mission of STEMPATH Nepal is to advance equitable access to STEM education by strengthening foundational scientific knowledge, fostering critical and ethical thinking, and expanding awareness of academic and career pathways in science and healthcare.
By integrating education, mentorship, and targeted resource support, we aim to empower students with the skills, confidence, perspective, and opportunities needed to pursue STEM disciplines and contribute meaningfully to Nepal’s long-term development in healthcare, scientific capacity, and innovation.
Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are essential to improving healthcare, strengthening infrastructure, and supporting sustainable development in Nepal. Yet access to high-quality STEM education remains uneven, particularly for students in under-resourced communities, limiting opportunities to pursue science and health-related pathways locally.
At STEMPATH Nepal, we believe that strengthening STEM education within Nepal is critical to developing future specialists who can contribute directly to their communities. When students lack early access to STEM learning, they often feel compelled to seek opportunities abroad. By building strong foundations in science and health education at home, students are better equipped to pursue advanced pathways without leaving their country at an early stage.
STEM education supports not only individual academic growth, but also national capacity. A strong local STEM pipeline enables the development of healthcare professionals, researchers, and innovators who understand Nepal’s unique needs. Through early STEM engagement, we aim to empower students to build skills, confidence, and purpose that contribute to Nepal’s long-term progress.
