Get out the chalk and bring on the STEM with Sidewalk Science!
All you will need is a piece or two of chalk, a few resources from the web, some string, and a measuring device.
For these two activities you can play with the solar system and the idea of scale!
The following website has all the measurements you will need to head outside and create a solar system with the family and some chalk!
We made the planets with just a piece of string and some chalk!

How far away are the planets from the sun? We guessed first and then used the our scale to see how close we guessed.
