Founder/ CEO

Jai Sri Lasya Komirisetty

Hello, I am Lasya, the founder and CEO of STEM & Art for Smiles. I am a high schooler passionate about STEM and the medical field. I am talented in arts such as painting and dancing. I want to become a doctor while also focusing on computer science in the future.

Having lived in India, South Africa, and now in United States, I have witnessed the gaps in awareness around STEM education and cancer prevention. This inspired me to combine my passion for science and art to increase understanding of these important topics. Through STEM & Art for Smiles, I aim not only to educate but also to make an impact in helping my community in meaningful ways while inspiring others to learn, create, and give back.

Apart from STEM & Art for Smiles I am interested in dancing for which I have received a Guinness Book of World Record in. I am also really good in painting and have won many national recognitions for my paintings.

This is not just an organization, I am deeply passionate about this organization because it allows me to make a real difference by educating others, raising awareness about cancer, and helping my community in creative and meaningful ways. Through STEM & Art, I hope to inspire learning about STEM and encourage others to give back, just as I strive to do every day.

Our why

I created STEM & Art for Smiles because I recognized two important needs: the lack of accessible STEM education for people of all ages, and the need for greater awareness and support for cancer patients. Having lived in India, South Africa, and the United States, I saw how communities often struggle to access engaging science education and resources about cancer. I wanted to create a platform that combines my love for science and art to educate, inspire, and make a positive impact by helping people understand complex topics while also supporting those affected by cancer through creative initiatives, donation drives, and community outreach.

How we make impact and change in the world

At STEM & Art for Smiles, we believe that education and creativity are powerful tools for change. By combining STEM learning with art, we make complex scientific concepts and health topics accessible and engaging for people of all ages and backgrounds. Our hands-on workshops, creative projects, and awareness campaigns not only inspire curiosity and learning but also empower individuals to take action in their own communities. Through donation drives, fundraising initiatives, and outreach programs for cancer patients, we directly support those in need while fostering compassion, knowledge, and innovation. In this way, we strive to create lasting impact using STEM and art to educate, inspire, and bring positive change to the world around us.
