This is the 7th consecutive year Morning Creek have formed a school team to participate in Math Olympiad in Division E. Total of 35 students in Grades 4 and 5 were invited to participate based on student scores and teacher recommendations. The administration of contests and practice sessions will be on campus. The parent permission form is due by October 23rd. Participation is by invitation only.
MOEMS® was established in 1979 and is one of the most influential and fun-filled math competition programs in the United States and throughout the world, with over 120,000 students from all 50 states and 39 countries participating. The objectives of MOEMS® are to teach multiple strategies for out-of-the-box problem solving, develop mathematical flexibility in solving those problems, and foster mathematical creativity and ingenuity.

All after-school practices are mentored by parent volunteers on campus at Stem Lab on Thursdays, 12:30-1:30pm.

All students are encouraged to get familiar with the terms and concepts mentioned in this resource document.
2022-2023: MCES team has completed all 5 competitions with Three perfect score achievers in contest#1, One perfect score achiever in contest#2, we have set a new MCES record by Nine perfect score achievers in contest#3, Eight perfect score achievers in contest#4, and Seven perfect score achievers in contest#5. This is the second year in a row we have a perfect cumulative score achiever!
Congratulations! The Morning Creek Elementary Team was named to the National Math Olympiad Honor Roll, receiving the "Highest Team Achievement Award" three years in a row! A team must be in the 90th percentile or better to win this exceptional place (Top 10% in divisision E, Worldwide). A total of 25 mathletes won individual National Awards for Excellence in Division E for grades 4-6! We had 1 student who achieved the perfect cumulative scores and earned a Gold Pin, top 2% worldwide, 1 student who achieved one less than the perfect cumulative scores and earned a Gold Pin, top 2% worldwide, 4 students who achieved a Silver Pin, top 10% worldwide, and 19 students who received an Embroidered Patch, top 50% worldwide.
2021-2022: The Morning Creek Elementary Team was named to the National Math Olympiad Honor Roll, receiving the "Highest Team Achievement Award." A team must be in the 90th percentile or better to win this exceptional place (Top 10% in divisision E, Worldwide). A total of 29 mathletes won individual National Awards for Excellence in Division E for grades 4-6! We had 1 student who achieved the perfect cumulative scores and earned a Gold Pin, top 2% worldwide, 5 students who achieved a Silver Pin, top 10% worldwide, and 23 students who received an Embroidered Patch, top 50% worldwide.
2020-2021: The Morning Creek Elementary Team was named to the National Math Olympiad Honor Roll, receiving the Highest Team Achievement Award. A team must be in the 90th percentile or better to win this exceptional place (Top 10% in divisision E, Worldwide).
2019-2020: The Morning Creek Elementary Team achieved the Meritorious Achievement in their grade level team award. A team must be in the 80th percentile or better to win this place (Top 20% of all elementary teams with a highest grade of 5th grade in division E).
2018-2019: The Morning Creek Elementary Team was named to the National Math Olympiad Honor Roll, receiving the Highest Team Achievement Award. A team must be in the 90th percentile or better to win this exceptional place (Top 10% in divisision E, Worldwide).
2017-2018: The Morning Creek Elementary Team achieved the top 25% team score tier.
