Understanding decisions about length and quality of life

A large part of the research I conducted during my Ph.D. research focuses on health state valuation, or in other words how we quantify quality of life. My focus was on understanding how we decide in the tasks generally used to quantify quality of life ('time trade-off and standard gamble').
