My kids go to school here. We enjoy our time swimming in the Nation River at Cass Bridge, and play soccer at the Chesterville fields where I coached my two sons’ teams.

My family has a small farm and we have initiated a project to be able to grow our own flowers. We see ourselves growing in this community and it is our aspiration to see our community economically strengthened, enhanced and maintained.

Central to your vote for me will be my focus on fiscal responsibility and community. Our community would benefit from local splash pads and bike parks. Passive activities in locations that serve the whole community. There are many wonderful amenities already in place and we need to maintain and enhance them.

The Chesterville Water Way needs a railing and lighting. The Winchester Hill would be better serviced if a gazebo was located there. In addition, an off-leash dog park behind the Winchester arena would provide owners with a good place to let their dogs run freely.

I would like to see our community put its focus on creating community spaces, like our pools, our arenas, and fields that highlights the outdoors and enables us to use it, play in it, value it, and continue to strengthen our community inter-actions. It is my hope that we will continue to seek ideas, and talk to each other about our community, and were deemed beneficial, form groups that promote and follow up on projects till their completion. The municipality could be an active instigator for these kinds of civic activities.
