Restoring the M1 helmet is a tedious process,. It doesn't help either that it is by far the most complicated helmet of all Nations during the time. Before anything happens, I need to see the helmet in question that is in need of restoration. If it is a perfectly fine historical piece I will refuse your offer. In this hobby we are in the business of preserving artifacts, not destroying them. On the flip side if you have a helmet that is rusty, missing lot's of paint, Or reconditioned for post war service. I would be happy to except your offer. Once that is decided  we will discuss the game plan for the restoration and how you want your M1 to turn out.  After that the customer will send it in and It will be refurbished within the month. the Basic refurbishment would be stripping the paint to the bare metal, repainting, re-texturing, and  weathering (optional). So after the basic process you come out with a straight out of the factory M1. Now if you want to add onto that you can pay extra for custom insignia, including unit markings, tactical marking, camouflage , etc.(my specialty) this will all cost extra.  I will also make custom theater made helmet nets, or helmet covers, including USMC covers to weather along with the helmet. Again all of these add on's are special request and cost extra. After the helmet is finished it will be shipped back to your address and ready to enjoy.
