NOTE: In the works.... With our space now sufficiently equipped and active, we will be looking toward setting up an appropriate pay-as-you-can model of gratuity (e.g. at workshops) to help offset the costs of maintaining our equipment, keeping up a smallish stock of commonly used raw materials (e.g. we use lots of LEDs for those blinky lights), and for specially purchased materials when those are warranted.
We gratefully accept donations of electronic components and microcontrollers (Arduino, RPi, ESP32, Micro:bit) as our modest storage space permits. When we aren't able to accept a donation, we can offer alternative destinations.
We are currently looking for about half a dozen used, but functional, laptops that we plan to reload with the Linux operating system. These are being earmarked for use in, for example, Scratch programming and Micro:bit programming workshops to be presented to under-served communities. (They're easier to lug around the city, setup, and takedown, than are Raspberry Pi computers with their monitors, cables, and accessories.)Â
