Lombada Promotes Exchange and Innovation during Erasmus+ Days
The EB1/PE School of Lombada, located in Ponta do Sol, took part in the 9th edition of the Erasmus+ Days, held from October 13 to 18 in Petroșani, Romania. This international event brought together teachers and students from various European countries, providing “a space for sharing experiences and good practices developed within the Erasmus+ programme,” stated the school principal, Rosa Luísa Gaspar. She added that the participation of EB1/PE Lombada strengthened the school’s commitment to promoting European education and disseminating innovative pedagogical practices, highlighting the positive impact these projects have on the school community.
On October 16, the international conference “Erasmus Days – Our Stories” took place, gathering teachers and partners from several countries — including Portugal, Turkey, Croatia, and Iceland — both in person and online. The event was held in the recently inaugurated European Multifunctional Erasmus Hall at Școala Gimnazială Ion Gheorghe Duca in Petroșani, with the support of the Hunedoara County School Inspectorate and several partner institutions.
During the conference, participants shared inspiring experiences from Erasmus+ projects, emphasizing their importance for the personal and academic development of both students and teachers. EB1/PE Lombada stood out by presenting the project “STEAM Innovative Teaching in the Digital Era”, coordinated by Natasha Dzhurkova from Bulgaria, contributing to the dissemination of innovative educational practices in the digital context.
“The participation of EB1/PE Lombada in the Erasmus+ Days was a valuable opportunity to promote the work developed by the school and to inspire other institutions to engage in European projects that foster learning, cooperation, and intercultural exchange,” concluded the principal
