Angus Abadee, is the Strata and Property Services Commissioner at NSW Fair Trading, and is working to build trust, accountability and empowerment across the strata and property services sectors in NSW.

Leading the NSW Strata & Property Services Taskforce, a multidisciplinary team focused on improving oversight of strata, property services, retirement villages and residential land lease communities, Angus's  approach brings together mediation, compliance, investigation, delivery and education to drive meaningful change for consumers and industry.

Angus has more than 15 years’ experience shaping public policy and regulatory reform across state and federal government. He has held senior roles at NSW Fair Trading, Building Commission NSW, the Department of Premier and Cabinet, and Liquor & Gaming NSW, as well as advising on criminal and constitutional law policy in both the NSW Department of Justice and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Angus is passionate about supporting fairer, safer and more transparent housing outcomes and working collaboratively with consumers, strata communities, property professionals and industry leaders to deliver practical reforms that make a difference.

 Peter is a Partner in the Insurance Team at Colin Biggers & Paisley with expertise in the defence of claims against solicitors and other professionals. 

Peter was a Lawcover Panel Solicitor for over 33 years. During that time, he regularly presented papers and seminars to the legal profession and conducted training sessions for lawyers throughout NSW on good practice and risk management. 

Peter also practices in the areas of Estate Litigation - primarily in family provision and testamentary capacity disputes - for charitable organisations. He is also a Senior Member of both the Occupational Division and the Consumer & Commercial Division of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT).

Leanne Walker is a partner at Colin Biggers & Paisley in the corporate and dispute resolution team, as well as the National Head of the dispute resolution team.

Leanne specialises in property dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on land contract disputes, leasing based disputes, easement disputes, strata disputes and general contract disputes. Leanne has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including expert determination, mediation and arbitration. Leanne acts for landowners, developers, builders, government authorities, owners corporations, local councils, and receivers and managers.

Leanne assists the Australian Institute of Conveyancers by providing strategic advice to and representing its members (and their clients).

With significant experience in property law and as a senior solicitor in private practice, Josh Wright has overseen a vast number of transactions and is keenly attuned to the dangers inherent in the process of conveyancing. As part of Stewart Title's business development team, he draws from his hands-on experience as a lawyer in working collaboratively with other property lawyers and conveyancers to achieve the implementation of best-practice approaches to the mitigation of risk.

Josh will share practical insights and real-life case studies that show how title insurance claims can arise after settlement, with an emphasis on protecting your clients - and by extension, your business - from risks like enforcement orders issued by local authorities, boundary defects, third party claims and more.

Michael defends professional indemnity claims across a range of professions, with particular experience advising on claims involving conveyancers, property professionals and real estate agents. He regularly assists insurers and insureds with complex negligence claims, indemnity disputes and other matters arising from property transactions.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Michael worked in the construction industry on several large-scale commercial and residential developments. Combined with his litigation experience, this provides him with a strong understanding of the property sector and the practical challenges faced by professionals involved in property transactions. Michael is known for quickly identifying the key issues in dispute and working with clients to achieve efficient and commercially sound outcomes.

Richard is a cyber risk and investigations expert with over 20 years of international experience spanning Australia, the UK, Germany, and Hong Kong. Throughout his career, he has led incident recovery, security assurance, and threat preparedness across high-stakes sectors, including major banking institutions, insurance, energy, central government, and defence.

Richard’s background includes senior roles at PwC and Kroll, as well as hands-on response work during major global data breaches, including the high-profile 2018 Marriott breach. In 2023, he established Procare Cyber with the backing of the Procare Group to help smaller and mid-sized businesses navigate complex cyber risks, data privacy, and fraud—providing practical guidance both before and after critical security incidents. Beyond his corporate role, Richard actively collaborates with industry groups and non-profits to raise cybersecurity awareness and help organizations leverage modern technology safely.
