How these platforms work 

Booking sites secure rooms from venues at wholesale rates to resell online. This is often why a third-party site might show room availability even when the venue’s own website says they are sold out (or vice-versa).

User Tip: 

Before booking through a platform, it’s always worth contacting the accommodation venue directly. If they have spare rooms, many venues will price-match or beat the third-party deal to save on paying a platform commission.

Caution: 

If there’s any chance your travel dates might shift, be sure to check the platform’s cancellation and refund policy carefully before booking, as third-party terms can be quite strict.
