2018 Event

THE EVENT

The first event took place on January 27th, 2018 in the University of Albany Campus Center.

During the day, groups of 2-5 from schools all over the Capital Region were connected with a local entrepreneur or entrepreneurship educator who mentored them along the process of crafting a venture idea into a pitch. There were a variety of workshops, hands-on activities, and speakers to sharpen the participants’ entrepreneurial mindsets.

After this event, students were given the task of forming a one minute video commercial for their product or service that they had to submit by February 20th, 2018. A panel of judges will review these video commercials. All participating groups will reconvene on February 28th at UAlbany for live pitch presentations and celebrations.

This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about entrepreneurship and innovation. For more information, view the event flyer here.
