Geniko Lykeio Iasmou (General Upper Secondary School of Iasmos) is situated in Iasmos, a small town 23 km west of Komotini, in East Macedonia and Thrace region. It is a public Upper Secondary General School. It has about 120 pupils and 18 staff/teachers. A huge percentage of our students belongs to Muslim minority. Some of them have low social and economical profile. Also, there is a percentage of 3% of pupils with special needs. All our students are able to communicate in English. Our school offers general secondary education. We try to adjust our school to rapid financial, cultural and technological changes and to add European added value. By joining this project we hope that our students' and teachers' skills will be developed and the quality of the educational process will be improved. The teachers and the students involved in the project will have an opportunity to observe, evaluate and enhance their knowledge from a range of different perspectives. They will get a chance to teach, participate and learn in an educational system different from their own. We strongly believe that a collaborative project can contribute to strengthening our European dimension, to sharing our different cultures and developing long-lasting links.
From 1st September 2012 the 4th Didactic Circle of Frosinone has been transformed into Comprehensive School 4. IC Frosinone is made up of 5 school complexes, (first grade secondary school, 2 primary school and 2 kindergarten).The students come from socially and culturally heterogeneous families and live in neighbourhoods where there has been significant demographic development over the past 20 years.Foreign families that insist on school are a small number. The pupils are mainly Albanians and second-generation Romanians and Chinese, who do not present great integration difficulties.The situation described above is optimal for broadening cultural and human horizons and educating for intercultural understanding. The socio-economic context (medium-high level) can support the social and civil training of the great majority of pupils, and the characteristics of the users facilitate planning and communication. The aims of the educational path identified are: 1) enhancement of general language skills (Italian and foreign languages) and use of CLIL methodology; 2) enhancement of mathematical-logical and scientific skills; 3) enhancement of skills in musical practice and culture, art and in art history, in cinema, in techniques and in the production and dissemination of images and sounds, also through the involvement of museums and other public and private institutions operating in these sectors; 4) development of skills in the field of active and democratic citizenship through the enhancement of intercultural education and peace, respect for differences and dialogue between cultures, support for the assumption of responsibility as well as solidarity and care for common goods and awareness of rights and duties; enhancement of legal and economic-financial knowledge and self-entrepreneurship education; 5) development of responsible behaviour inspired by the knowledge and respect for legality,environmental sustainability, landscape heritage, heritage and cultural activities 6)literacy to art, techniques and media of production and diffusion of images 7)development of students' digital skills, with regard to computational thinking, the critical and conscious use of social networks and media as well as production and links with the world of work.

The school has been implementing international projects with the Czech foreign partner since 1993, we want to develop cooperation with other countries, learn about new educational solutions, organizational culture in other countries, enable students to establish partner relations with students from other countries. Our school is located in the city center, it is the largest educational institution in the city, in front of our school there is a Monument to Fighters for Freedom and Democracy, which is why we also place great emphasis on patriotic education. We care for the health of students by organizing trips to the green school, we cooperate with the "Miasteczko Śl" Foundation. There is a nurse working in our school in the new office, the students are covered by feeding in the school canteen. We have a modern computer room equipped with 26 computer workstations. We organize many events and competitions at school. Our school has a hundred-year tradition, we have developed our school ceremonial. Every year in December we celebrate the School's Patron Day. We have been working for 27 years with the friendly city of Vitkov from the Czech Republic in sports competitions and cultural exchange.
Agrupamento de Escolas de Vialonga is formed by a group of 9 schools with 2071 students whose age range is 3-18 belonging to pre-school education (12 schools), primary school (37 classes), lower and upper secondary schools (41 classes) as well as professional course – VET (4 classes). We are 222 staff members. We are located in Vialonga, Vila Franca de Xira, a county in the outskirts area of the capital city, Lisboa. Involvement in European projects play an important role in the schools educational policies in terms of fighting early school leaving. We are engaged in reinforcing the links between school and families to help them understand the added value of basic education, so the students can become active workers or continue their formal education (an European Union 2020 goal). The development of the European dimension of education is part of the school strategy and will help them acquire the 21st century skills. By taking part in projects we believe our teachers will improve the quality of education at our school, increased the motivation of our students. Teachers and students enriched their understanding of European citizenship, practiced foreign languages and developed a better understanding of the cultures of the participating countries. We are fully aware of the importance of the European Union (EU) 2020 Strategy in what concerns education goals and the 21st Century skills so our project is in line with both national and EU level educational policies in terms of fighting and preventing early school leaving. In this project teachers will provide the students with real life learning contexts which will be an added value as there will be effective learning and transferability of knowledge and sharing of good practices.

We want to be in this project believing that it is a must for young generation to learn about foreign cultures and cooperate with students from other countries, expand their analysing and problem solving abilities and practice their English. Our students and our teachers are eager to participate in Erasmus plus projects. We have good facilities here at our school and share them with students from other countries. We also believe that by participating in such a projects our students will fully get the meaning of the words "globalisation" and "peace".
