These videos are here for convenient overviews that require the least effort to view and have the basic understanding of how a console station functions. To be better prepared for your first bridge adventure, we highly recommend you run the tutorials in the software. They're easy to access right on the main/opening screen.

Welcome officer to this training session where you will learn to lead your crew to glorious victory! Ok, maybe not so glorious all the time, and maybe there could be the tiniest amount of stress involved, but you are absolutely guaranteed not be bored being responsible for all the lives of your crew and of your multi-bazillion credit starship as you galivant around the galaxy daring to go where angels fear to tread! So jump in and see if you have what it takes to be Captain.
Welcome officer to this training session where you will learn to navigate your vessel successfully as the helms officer. You are responsible for controlling the movements of the ship which primarily includes space travel and combat maneuvers. This station is a lot of fun, is very interactive, and requires a lot of collaboration. If you love smashing into asteroids at high warp speed and causing your captain and engineering officer cranial exploding siezures, this is the job for you!
Your purpose is to target enemies, deliver offensive ordinances, and engage defensive mechanisms. This role can be highly engaging while in battle, and very strategic out of battle. Seriously, what can be more fun than blowing stuff up? 'Nough said.
Your role is to manage energy availability, balance heating and cooling, and repair damage to the ship. Coordinate with other crew members for power distribution. You absolutely have the most control in the ship. This is never a stressful position. //sarcasm

As the science officer you have access to a long range radar, displayed in the center of your console. Your job is to analyze and report on changes in the sector. This is generally a less demanding station. If you have pointed ears, you are required to operate this station.
As the relay officer, you have access to a large scrollable map of charted space with potentially many stellar objects, space stations, and ships visible on that map. Your job is to help the crew navigate in the sector and to communicate with stations and vessels. This station also launches probes and establishes way-point markers for navigation. Depending on the scenario, this is generally a very demanding station to manage. Oh, did we mention that you get to hack the systems of other ships? That is so rewarding on so many levels we can't go into it here.
