Is this scenario principally Crew vs Crew, or Crew vs AI?
80% crew vs crew, but there are also AI elements to content with
Is this scenario suitable for single or multiple ship crews?
Must play with at least two ship crews (it's a race.... duh...)
What's the overall difficulty/complexity? (Easy, Medium, Complex)
Variable, depending on how much you want to be tortured.... ha. Really, it depends on session settings. It can be set with simple/easy parameters, or it can get difficult/complex. Go ahead, ask for the hard setting.... ;)
Can the scenario be accomplished in an hour or less, or will it take longer?
A typical race takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. We can generally accomplish two races within the span of an hour.
Admiral's Recommendation:
This is a really fun event to use as a competition between ship crews when you'd like the emphasis to be "running and gunning". Given that it's a race, there's a huge focus on the Helms officer/position, but the other positions also have their parts to play. Definitely recommend.
Note: The number of racers equals the number of participants that are at the starting position after the pre-race period.
This scenario pits bridge crews against each other in a race. Points are awarded for race placement. Points are also awarded for target drones shot. Winning the race is far more important for a team’s score than the points won for drones shot. During the pre-race period, the player ships may try out the course, visit stations or attempt to destroy their fellow competitors. All competitors must be at the starting point at the beginning of the race or they forfeit.

The course is marked out by waypoints programmed into each player ship’s navigation system. Start at waypoint 1, travel to each waypoint in sequence and return to waypoint one. That is one lap. Three laps is the entire race. Ships are vulnerable, so it’s not a good idea to run over a bunch of asteroids. Many racers have been destroyed by hitting too many asteroids.
There are twelve target drones per racer. A target drone is given the racer’s name. For each of a player’s target drone that is destroyed, the player receives one point. It is possible for one player to give another player points by shooting the other player’s drone.
