Is this scenario principally Crew vs Crew, or Crew vs AI?
Single crew vs AI.
Is this scenario suitable for single or multiple ship crews?
Single crew only.
What's the overall difficulty/complexity? (Easy, Medium, Complex)
Medium+ There is a lot of emphasis on figuring out what you need to repair your ship so that you can escape the area undetected and your molecular cohesion intact.
Can the scenario be accomplished in an hour or less, or will it take longer?
It is a timed scenario and the timing is set to adjust the difficulty (doing faster is more difficult). Default setting is one hour.
Admiral's Recommendation:
This is definitely a great scenario for those who are looking for something more than just your run-of-the-mill running and gunning scenario! Engineering, Science, and Relay/Comms are going to have a lot to do and will have to work together to solve this fun but challenging escape room-like scenario!
You escape a Kraylor brig on station DS-23 onto a derelict starship amongst several derelict starships in a junkyard. You must dock with a Human Navy station to report on the Kraylor activity in the area. Your Engineering and Science officers will be busy maintaining a largely disfunctional ship and scanning the garbage in the junkyard for better alternatives.
The mission consists of different circumstantial phases. These details could be construed to be spoilers, so consider carefully before reading further. You’ve been warned.....
You’ll first start on a barely functioning fighter. Energy and engines should be the Engineer’s focus. The fighter may start running out of air due to a failing environmental system. You’ll need to find a better ship to move to in the junkyard before suffocating. The next ship will be nearly as damaged as the first, but it has greater overall potential. Captured repair crew from the station should help you assuming you help them escape the same Kraylor brig you were in. They not only help with repairs, they know people on various stations that can make even more repairs. The junkyard owner may sic his enforcer on you. The enforcer normally should be easy to deal with, but with your “borrowed” ship in its current state, you will need to think carefully on how to defeat the enforcer.
Once you start visiting these other stations as recommended by your enthusiastic rescued repair crew, your ship will get closer to full functionality. Once you get your communications fixed and switched over to Human Navy, all you need to do is dock with any Human Navy station. Of course, all those Kraylor that were neutral to your ship while it was Independent will now be hostile…
