Admiral's Recommendation:
If you're looking to step up your Starship Bridge Sim experience and give yourself a bit of a challenge, this scenario is for you! You're going to have to carefully manage resources and wisely choose when to fight or strategically withdraw. This scenario certainly requires good crew coordination and decision making!
The isolation and contention in the region where you are posted has prompted the locals to name the remaining stations, “Doomed Outpost.” Several hostile factions continue to battle each other. The conflict duration has negatively impacted shipyard facilities and maintenance schedules. Consequently, your ship's capabilities are significantly reduced from when it was manufactured. We no longer have a dedicated shipyard where you can improve your ship, but many of the former employees of the shipyard continue to offer their services on friendly and neutral stations in the area. Your mission is to survive and do what you can to protect the four remaining “Doomed Outpost” stations. Defeat is almost guaranteed.
Being relative newcomers to the area, your reputation does not suffice for you to simply show up at a station to upgrade your ship. You will need to destroy some enemies or engage in other helpful activities to raise your reputation. Check with stations to see if they need help transporting people or cargo. Lots of people want to move to a different station and they want to do it on armed transportation due to their perception that some stations are in greater danger than others.
Finally, there’s a rumor that the Exuari is planning a significant attack in the region. The details are vague, but we thought you ought to know so that you can at least be somewhat prepared. Of course, these rumors help justify the local moniker, “Doomed Outpost.”
