At STA'RLab, we conduct research on communicable diseases: from Early detection (Surveillance) and forecasting (Trajectory) to Disease Control (Action). We develop statistical, mechanistic, and AI-based model frameworks (individual, ensemble, and interface) using a multidisciplinary approach.
Current key areas include -
Target Diseases
- Respiratory Infectious Diseases (ResIDs)
- Vector-borne Infectious Diseases (VBIDs)
- Other Communicable Diseases
Primary Focus Areas
- Infectious Disease Epidemiology (IDE)
- Data Discovery and Communicable Disease Surveillance (D2CDS)
- Infectious Disease Modeling (IDM) I AI4IDs I 4castingIDs
- Public Health and Control (PHC)
Integrated Focus Areas
- Environmental Health (EH) I Climate Change & IDs
- Social and Behavioural Health (SBH)
- Global Health & One Health:
- Digital Health Interventions (DHIs)
- Health Informatics
