Before you come, make sure to check our Facebook page or GroupMe each week to confirm that we haven’t had to cancel, and to find out who to contact to let you into the building. If you can’t access Facebook or GroupMe, you can also text Thalia at (662) 300-3346 the day before the event to confirm. 💡
Other events: We occasionally plan other events like field trips (e.g., visiting dances in Hunstville or Memphis) and social outings (e.g., group trivia nights). Join our GroupMe for updates on those, and feel free to suggest other ideas!
The schedule of our weekly events may change from semester to semester, so check back each August and January to see what we’re up to! We usually take breaks while the university is closed for winter and summer holidays.

We meet on Sunday nights at 6pm to 8pm-ish.Â
Join us for a beginner-friendly lesson from 6:00-7:30pm — no partner or experience required — then stick around afterwards to dance, practice, or just hang out!
Usually the teacher will be there by 5:55pm, and we aim to start the lesson by 6:05pm. New attendees are encouraged to arrive on time, because we will go over basics at the start!

Location and Building Access

Events are held in Simrall Hall, Room 104, on the MSU campus. However, the building doors are locked, so you’ll need to contact the teacher when you arrive to be let inside.
Since teachers may change from week to week, check our GroupMe or Facebook page before coming to find out who is teaching and how to contact them. This is also the best way to check whether an event has been canceled.

We meet most Sundays, although we occasionally need to cancel. When we’re meeting, we’ll post a Facebook event by mid-week, and post a message in the GroupMe on Sunday morning/early afternoon, including information about who to contact to get into the building.
If we need to cancel, we’ll post on Facebook and GroupMe as soon as we can, usually several days in advance.Â
If it’s Sunday and you haven’t seen a post on the GroupMe yet, there’s a very good chance we’re still on and we just forgot to post! Feel free to check the Facebook page, or text Thalia at (662) 300-3346 if you want to confirm.
Parking
Parking
Parking on MSU campus is free on Sundays, and there are several parking lots nearby. The closest parking is street parking on Herbert Street, directly behind Simrall Hall. From there, you can walk around to the side doors on the north side of the building, where the teacher can let you in. Also be aware that the portion of Hardy Street in front of the building is now bus-only.
