Boys and Girls entering Grades 3-6
Twelve students from Natick High School visited
Starfish International last summer in the Gambia and became great friends with the students at the school. The volunteers would like to share their experiences with students in Natick, creating an authentic Gambian experience for those who register for this program. The week-long experience will be led by Mr. Harrigan, NHS Principal, and the Natick High School Junior and Senior girls who went on the trip. This fun, interactive, and high energy program will teach students about Gambian life and culture. The Gambian girls will join the class via live and recorded videos AND ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE PROGRAM WILL BE DONATED BACK TO STARFISH INTERNATIONAL!
GAMBIAN EXPERIENCE 2020! ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Senior Juliana Green was one of 10 Natick High Students to travel to The Gambia this past summer of 2019 with the first group of Natick exchange students. She is the Captain of the Natick High School Cross Country team and has previously been apart of both indoor and outdoor Track & Field teams.
This year, Juliana will be running as a charity athlete to help foster the Gambian exchange, allowing for low income Natick students to travel to The Gambia in upcoming years, as well as fund field trips with The Gambian students while they are in Natick.
"I’m really passionate about globalism and I believe that this exchange program is instrumental in connecting communities across continents, promoting acceptance of diversity, and preparing students to solve global challenges. I am so excited to watch this program grow and enrich the experience of all students at Natick High School and prepare them to be global citizens." - Juliana Green, 2020
