With the ongoing pandemic as well as burdens of oppression that so many face every day, many members of our Stanford community—especially first-generation and low-income students—are drastically in need of resources right now.
Here are 4 ways you can support students right now:
Fulfill requests on this 1:1 Need Matching Form that students use to submit emergency requests for direct aid. These can be fulfilled by peers, alumni, parents, and community members.
Offer housing for housing-insecure students via this Housing Matching Program. If and whenever possible you can provide long-term summer housing for free, particularly for our first-generation and low-income students who may be housing-insecure, please do.
Share other resources via this Community Offerings Form. You can offer paid work opportunities, transportation assistance, food, supplies, storage space, child care, services, and emotional support.
Donate any amount to @smuadma via Paypal, Venmo, or CashApp. This fund is managed by a team of student fund managers and an alumni advisor to make sure that 100% of it goes directly to students in need. If you have questions, you can contact primary student fund manager Will Shan ('22) at willshan@stanford.edu.
Lastly, please also share this page with your friends and colleagues. It takes just 1 minute, and it could make a world of difference to a student in this crisis.
We are continuously in awe of the generosity of the Stanford community and are so grateful for your support. Let’s continue to take care of each other.
