Strip Maps

Something that has interested me for quite some time are the electronic line strip maps found on the R142/A, R143, and R188 car classes. There have been various versions produced, with some eventually being discontinued as car assignments changed and new ones produced for operational flexibility. Of course, these were also updated (either with patches or completely new prints) for service changes.

Posted here are the current (as of 12/2024) versions for the strip maps currently in use in the A Division: the combined 2/5, 7, and 4 line strip maps.

I've also included an early-1990s A line strip map that I recreated some time ago. These were originally intended for use on cars assigned to the A following major service changes in the Rockaways in October 1992.

Update, 1/1/2025: As an added bonus, I've decided to add in my interpretations on the strip maps once seen on the R110A and R110B cars, which were delivered with electronic strip maps for the 2 and A lines, respectively.

This page contains the finished products. I'm leaving the other routes as a future exercise, and those should posted here once completed.
