NEW RELEASE: R110B Pin Designs (Batch 2)
A few weeks back someone dared me to recreate the 1974 Commuter Rail Map.Â
So here it is in all of it's digitized glory, with a modernized version alongside it.
This map was the first of a few maps (with subsequent editions in 1981 and 1985) issued by the MTA showing the various MTA-operated commuter rail operations, along with other major networks not operated by MTA.
By the late-1980s, the map had fallen into disarray and was replaced by two separate maps, one for the LIRR and another for Metro-North.
This setup did not last long however, as by 1998 all MTA agencies were collectively shown on "The Map".
Note: If you are planning on using any of these diagrams as props for online game/simulators or for other matters, please reach out to me on Instagram for permission.
