Technical core (often referred to as the tech core) is a set of courses that are specific to the pathway. These courses will help students gain the foundational skills needed to be successful in careers in their chosen Pathway.
Students will develop a worldview and use their voice to advocate for and serve their community. (problem solving)
Students will analyze, create, and implement innovative solutions to community issues. (problem solving)
Students will gain a learner’s mindset by working to transfer skills learned in the classroom to the real world. (learner's mindset)

Students will experience work-based learning experiences including but not limited to: internships, field experiences, job shadowing and clinical practicum experience.
The School of Public Service and Communications exists to inform and prepare students for careers in education, law, community organizations, and journalism with a focus on social justice and current events. Through experiential learning opportunities in collaboration with the community, immersion in a variety of careers, and integrated academic experience, students become active participants in advocating change for their community.
Graduates of The School of Public Service and Communications at Staley High School will communicate effectively in order to advocate for and serve the needs of the community, build empathy and understanding for diverse perspectives, and lead collaboration to solve local and global challenges creating authentic change.
