Students in the School of Public Service and Communications prepares students for careers in education, law, community organizations and journalism with a focus on social justice and current events. Through experiential learning opportunities in collaboration with the community, immersion in a variety of careers and integrated academic experiences, students become active participants in advocating change for their community.

What does technical core mean?
Technical core (often referred to as the tech core) is a set of courses that are specific to the pathway. These courses will help students gain the foundational skills needed to be successful in careers in their chosen Pathway.

Graduates of The School of Public Service and Communications at Staley High School will communicate effectively in order to advocate for and serve the needs of the community, build empathy and understanding for diverse perspectives, and lead collaboration to solve local and global challenges creating authentic change.
