What if I don’t know what Pathway I want to choose?
That’s okay! When you select a pathway, you are not choosing a career for life. You are simply choosing what seems interesting to you, to help focus your learning throughout high school! We encourage you to talk to your teachers, parents, guardians or counselors about your strengths and interests and how they might fit in to a pathway.
Can I still take any electives I want?
Absolutely! All electives are open to students regardless of what pathway they are in.
What happens if I change my mind about my pathway?
While we’re encouraging students to stay in their initial pathway, we know that interests and goals do change. In designing classes and course sequences, our high school teams have worked to ensure that students can stay on track with their peers if they decide to change schools after their freshman year.
Can I still participate in athletics, clubs and activities during high school?
Of course! Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like the arts, athletics, clubs and student organizations are a key part of the high school experience. What if the career I want isn’t listed on a pathway?
No big deal! We began with a list of ‘related careers’ in each pathway. There is no limit when it comes to careers! Not sure where your career might fit? Reach out to your College and Career Facilitator or Counselor!
