Technical core (often referred to as the tech core) is a set of courses that are specific to the pathway. These courses will help students gain the foundational skills needed to be successful in careers in their chosen pathway.
Students will use real world skills to search for and think critically about a problem, have the ability to problem solve collaboratively with others, and arrive at a well-informed decision. Adjust accordingly. (adaptability, communication, collaboration)
Students will develop empathy through social-emotional learning, self-reflection and real-world experiences. (empathy, learner's mindset)
Students will effectively communicate through collaborative experiences and engage in innovative problem-solving of real world design and technology problems. (communication, collaboration)

Students will engage in work-based learning experiences including but not limited to: internships, field experiences, job shadowing and clinical practicum experience.
Graduates from the School of Design, Innovation and Technology at Staley High School will learn how to challenge, engage, adapt and achieve skills and experiences through industry sponsored project-based learning experiences.
Graduates from the School of Design, Innovation and Technology will become innovators by thinking critically, collaborating and effectively communicating to produce solutions and enhancements to societal needs.
