Early History
According to the legend, every day a cow comes to a hole in a certain part of the Kenduban in this place, and after finding milk from the panha, it comes and tells the king Ramachandradev I . Soon after Baba ordered to dig up the dhal in his dream, he was worshiped here as Swapneswar. Later, Gajapati Ramachandradev (I) built the temple and deeded 22 Guntha & a lot of land in the name of Baba and Maa Rudrayani. Now only half of it (13 acres and 84 decimils) is visible.
Modern history
It is informed for your information that the Temple is only open for more time during various festivals and the whole day during Ramparayan, Astaprahari, Mahashivratri, Dola Purnima & Sankranti etc and on other days the Temple is closed after the Daily Rituals is over. The temple was renovated in 1998 cement plastered over the old stone and many carved sculpture were hidden along with it and the front Jagamohan was newly built in 2019 .
This A Biggest Decision to famous our village Cultural festival & the 700 (arround many years) years old Swapneswar Temple . We Alms Mahaprabhu Swapneswar & Mahaprabhu Jagannath the site built on the eve of Kendusahi Melana 2023(Mar 10). I hope it gives a lot of success . ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ସ୍କନ୍ଧ ମହାପୁରାଣ ଅନୁସାରେ ଯେହେତୁ ଶିବ ବିଷ୍ଣୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନିର୍ମିତ ସେହିପରି ବିଷ୍ଣୁ ଶିବଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନିର୍ମିତ ଯେହେତୁ ମୁଁ ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପାର୍ଥକ୍ୟ ଦେଖି ପାରେନା ମୋ ଜୀବନ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି। ଶିବ ଓ ବିଷ୍ଣୁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କୌଣସି ଭେଦ ନାହିଁ ଯିଏ ଭେଦ କରେ ସେ ଉଭୟଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଦୋଷୀ। ସ୍କନ୍ଧ ପୁରାଣ ପରି ଆହୁରି ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳେ।
Meaning as the recordings of "Sakndh Puran" Shiv &Vishnu is equal & same. There are no difference between them.
