plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
Welcome Back Panthers!!
Message from Sister Mary Lawrence, O.P.
Principal
Dear Saint Paul Panther Family,
We have had GREAT beginnings, with our Family Day Kick-off and the first days of school underway here at SPCS. I want to extend a special welcome to our new Panther families. Thank you all for your continued partnership and support as we work together to make a positive difference in the lives of our students, community, and world!
This year, we at St. Paul School are preparing to celebrate 75 years of Catholic Education in the Whitehaven Community, and I have chosen the following Scripture passage for our school theme: “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). May each of us look to God this year with trust that His plans are always the best for us!
I look forward to meeting with the Middle School Parents at Back to School Night this Thursday at 6pm in the School Cafeteria. Our Middle School program continues to grow, and this year we are offering several new opportunities for our 6-8 th grade students: Spanish Class four days per week, quarterly special area classes for each grade, and two 8 th grade Math courses (8 th grade Math and Algebra 1). The quarterly special area classes include: Music/Performing Arts, Computer Skills, and a Learning Enrichment class.
Whether your child is in PreK3 or 8th grade, we are committed to providing a quality Catholic Education to prepare them for High School and beyond. We began our Middle School Program in 2019, and our 8 th grade graduates are thriving in High School. Among the schools where our 8th grade graduates attend are St. Benedict at Auburndale, St. Agnes, Christian Brothers High School, and Compass Midtown.
Be assured of my prayers for you each day, especially as we begin this school year. Go Panthers!
In Christ,
Sister Mary Lawrence Wright, O.P.
