We Proclaim and acknowledge the sovereignty the Lord Our God Jesus Christ who is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit as Creator of the universe from which all wisdom and knowledge comes from; and that he has ordained our University through the Apostolic Succession of His Holy Church His blessing upon His divine ministry and has bestow upon us his authority to carry out his ministry of spreading the gospel and to teach all his commandments, righteous living. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16-17 ESV

Now this is the commandment—the statutes and the rules—that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it, that you may fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son's son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be long. Hear therefore, O Israel, and be careful to do them, that it may go well with you, and that you may multiply greatly, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you, in a land flowing with milk and hone

Our Seminary Accreditation

We remain un-accredited by the accredited agencies recognized by the United States Department of Education because we feel and believe that it put a restriction on God ministry.   Accreditation in a secular university and college is needed and very important, but in the religious community it's trying to put a monopoly on God ministry.   Your diploma and transcript are your proof of the education that you earned. To require an accreditation results in saying that your degree or diploma has no real value. We believe that our diploma, certificates, transcripts hold all the proof & value of your education and nothing else is required. Education is measured through work, study and experience that has been measured and recorded, not through accreditation. Accreditation is not required in the United States, but is purely a voluntary matter. We believe in freedom of religion, and separation of Church and State but an accreditation agency has no true value until it is recognized by the United Stated Department of Education. This means the government oversees the accreditation agency. In a round about way this is not separation of Church and State. We do not seek government endorsement.

Now we are now accredited by an agncy outside the influence, regulation and interfence of the department of Education of the United State of Amercia. We are proud to be internationally accredited by the "International Association for Biblical Education".

Our Legal Status

  St. Paul Bible Institute and seminary is not licensed by the Board of Regent in the State of Ohio and do not offer any secular degrees, but as a Religious Institution, we are permitted to offer degrees in Biblical Studies, Theology and Divinity. Under Federal Court ruling, case # 454322, "Certainly the ordination of ministers and the chartering of churches are accepted activities of religious organizations... The fact that the plaintiff distributed ministers' credentials and Honorary Doctor of Divinity certificates is of no moment. Such activity may be analogized to mass conversions at a typical revival or religious crusade." Disclosure: "this institution is not certified by the department of higher education or the state of Ohio."

Next follows the portion of the ruling that assures the legal acceptance of an online ordination: "Neither this Court, nor any branch of this Government, will consider the merits or fallacies of a religion. Nor will the Court compare the beliefs, dogmas, and practices of a newly organized religion with those of an older, more established religion. Nor will the Court praise or condemn a religion, however excellent or fanatical or preposterous it may seem. WERE THE COURT TO DO SO, IT WOULD IMPINGE UPON THE GUARANTEES OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT."

We as a church (Religious Institution) and under the First Amendment of the Constitution ““Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” We are permitted to offer our “Independent Bible Scholars,” who completed their required studies an honorary “Doctor of Divinity” degree which is the heart of our religious studies of this institution.

Government Recognition

Why am I making this statement? Let me tell you what happen to me in 2013 when I wanted to change my career from security officer to a hospital technician, the course I had to take cost $35,000 and I had no money. I applied for a U.S. government grant and on my application I put down having a Bachelor degree in theology. Because I had this degree I was turned down. I told the case worker that it was a religious degree from an unaccredited college, and she told me that may be so but the United States government has recognized it, you were turned down. So the degrees earn from this Bible Institute, I am safe to say is recognized by the United State government.

Accrediting of Colleges and Universe in a nut Schell

The whole purpose for accreditation is make sure that the student is receiving the highest standard of education for the degree the student is working to earn. The bottom-line is that in the process of accrediting, no one trust no one, because at any time someone can be cheating, which is part of human nature. Example: University and college can not be trusted to insure high standard of good education so they are audited by a accrediting agency to make sure the college and university are giving good high standard education. The accrediting agency can’t be fully trusted and is audited by the U.S. Department of Education to make sure that they are doing their job correctly before they are recognized as a accrediting agency; for without this recognition they can’t accredit anything. Then from time to time when allegation come in or is reported, members of the U.S. Department of education may be investigated by a Senate committee for corruptions, payback and any other illegal activities done.
