Monday Night Meal

Monday Night Meal has been operating continuously for over 40 years at St. Malachi Church, serving hundreds of people a hot home cooked meal each week. 

This ministry provides a hearty sit-down dinner to anyone who walks through the door. Doors open for guest at 5:00PM and following prayer and announcements dinner is served by volunteers until 6:00PM 

Prior to the day, main-dishes are cook by volunteers at home on a once-a-month rotation.  Other volunteers provide fresh fruit or salads, while others deliver bakery items such as bread and pastries that are donated by local bakeries.

On Monday afternoon beginning at 3:00PM volunteers set-up the dining hall, reheat the main course and prepare the side dishes and desserts served that evening.  Other volunteers begin arriving at 4-430PM to prepare place settings, plan the dinner service, and divy up assignments. Dinner service is from  5:00PM to 6:00PM with clean-up concluding before 7:00PM.
