Monday Night Meal is open for both takeout and dine-in meals from 5 to 6pm.
Since 1975, the Monday Night Meal at St. Malachi Church in Cleveland, Ohio has served a free, home-cooked dinner to anyone in need of a good meal and friendly company. Each week, hundreds of guests enjoy a warm, sit-down dinner prepared and served by volunteers.
Dinner is served every Monday from 5:00–6:00 PM, and doors open for guests at 5:00 PM.
Behind the scenes, volunteers begin at 3:00 PM to set up the dining hall, reheat main dishes, and prepare side dishes, salads, fruit, and desserts. More volunteers arrive between 4:00 and 4:30 PM to set the tables, organize the serving line, and welcome guests. Cleanup is completed by 7:00 PM.
The main dishes are cooked at home by volunteers on a rotating schedule. Others contribute by bringing fresh fruit, salads, or bakery donations from local shops.
The Monday Night Meal ministry depends entirely on volunteers and community donations.
Whether you’d like to cook, serve, donate food, or contribute funds, your help makes a difference.
