The St. George Housing Affordability Initiative is a community-driven effort to promote practical, evidence-based housing policies that support responsible growth while expanding housing opportunities for current and future residents of Washington County.
This initiative recognizes that housing affordability is more than a housing issue. It affects families, workforce development, education, healthcare, public safety, economic competitiveness, and the long-term prosperity of our community.
Rather than opposing growth, this initiative encourages thoughtful planning, expanded housing opportunities, and collaborative solutions that benefit residents, employers, developers, and local governments alike.
