What is EDGE?

EDGE is a Catholic youth ministry program for middle schoolers (6th to 8th Grade). It aims to guide our young people to have a deeper relationship with God by bringing them closer to Christ.  Adrian Warpness, Faith Formation Coordinator of the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, AZ, rightfully captures EDGE as that which ~

 " ... recognizes students are on the EDGE in their life, and if we as a church don’t do something about it,
they’re going to fall off the EDGE. But, at the same time, we, as a church are going to give them the EDGE they need in life -
Jesus Christ, the Sacraments, Sacred Scripture, the Teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, and a
Catholic Community to love, nurture and challenge them."

EDGE gives our children the opportunity to grow in the Faith and be able to stand by it especially in these times when the truth is challenged, and virtues evanescing.  Through this Ministry, our middle schoolers will be engaged in various meaningful activities addressing their emotional, social, educational and spiritual needs, all within the supreme rule of faith -- the Holy Bible, Sacred Tradition and the Catholic Teaching (Magisterium).

EDGE provides an environment where middle schoolers can seek the answers to the questions that challenge them, or those that prevent them from living the life Jesus calls them to.  It is a place where our children can be a part of our Parish Ohana, and prepare them to be part of a much bigger community, when the time comes.
