The purpose of Scouting is to encourage the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of young people so that they take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national and international communities.

25 Marks are awarded as grace marks for active participation in its activities.

ഈ വര്‍ഷം ശാസ്ത്രപഥം, ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുമായി മെന്ററിംഗ്‌ എന്നി പരിപാടികള്‍ നടത്തുന്നതിന്‌ തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട. യു ആര്‍ സി തലത്തില്‍ എച്ച്‌ എസ്‌ ഇ, വി എച്ച എസ്‌ ഇ - സയന്‍സ്‌, ഹ്യുമാനിറ്റീസ്‌, കോമേഴ്‌സ്‌ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ക്കും, എച്ച്‌എസ്‌ തലത്തില്‍ സയന്‍സ്‌ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടിയാണ്‌ ഈ പ്രോഗ്രാം സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്‌.തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക്‌ പ്രസ്തുത വിഷയത്തില്‍ ഗൂഗിള്‍ മീറ്റ്‌ വഴി സെമിനാര്‍ നടത്തുന്നു.തുടര്‍ന്ന്‌ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട വിഷയത്തില്‍ പ്രോജക്ട്‌ തയ്യാറാക്കി വിദഗ്ധരുടെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യത്തില്‍ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുവാന്‍ അവസരം നല്‍കുന്നതാണ്‌.

The School has a very vibrant fine arts and Literary cell and is an active participator in various arts program across the state including Kerala State Kalolsavam. The school management profoundly supports the activities and takes the students to various events.

The school have moral and religious activity cell which help students grow spiritually by imbibing moral values and ethos. Holy mass and confession is arranged for the catholic students on every first Friday and prayer sessions for non Catholics. Retreat is conducted for Catholics students.

In order to inculcate among the students the scientific temper and curiosity, science club has been functioning in the school. The club organizes exhibitions, seminars, invited talks, and conducts essay, debate and quiz competitions to instill the message among the students. Science club also observes various international and national days especially Environmental Day, Ozone Day, Space Week, National Science day etc.

Associated with science club are - Nature club, Eco Club, Health Club, Agricultural Club.

Weightage is awarded in Higher secondary admission for active participation in the clubs.

State Level Second prize in Shashtra Mela with A grade for Best Research Project - (Value Added Products from Water Hyacinth - Hardboards, Egg rack, ornaments etc.)

To instill the students with an interest in social studies , a well organized social science club works in the school.

The club actively participates in Social science exhibitions organized by School education department. Club competes in Still Model, Atlas Making categories and have won prizes.

Club also celebrates Gandhi Jayanti and other important days.

Associated with Social Science Club is also Gandhi Club.

Maths club is one of the vibrant clubs functioning in the school. The club organizes digital maths quizzes, memory tests, geometrical charts, Bhaskaracharya Seminar, maths talent search, Sreenivasa Raamanujan paper presentation etc.

To infuse the basic human qualities like Honesty, Punctuality, Thrift in the students an unmonitored shop has been provided with essential school stationeries. The students are taught to pay the amounts as per the cost on the following day itself .

Under the auspice of NABARD and District co-operative bank ayyanthole branch a STUDENT'S BANK-BALYA NIDHI- has been inaugurated and started at St. Aloysius HS on (18/11/16). the venture was inaugurated by the chiefe general manager of NABARD, Sri. Ravindranath. V. R here in a programme. The Students bank is an initiation from the part of teachers and students which can create an awareness of earning money for future. Students who got account in the bank were given pass books and ATM cards.

Students are trained to attend people who are sick and bedridden under the guidance from Public Health Centre staffs.
