Flexible Fuel Cell
Our lab is working on designing and fabricating flexible flow plates using 3D printing technology to realize flexible fuel cells. The performance evaluation of flexible fuel cells is performed by measuring the polarization curve corresponding to the curvature (K) of the fuel cell. Compared to conventional solid-state fuel cells, flexible fuel cells have the advantage of being lightweight and small in volume. Therefore, they can be deformed into various shapes, making them highly portable and suitable for application in wearable electronics. A finite element analysis(FEA) was performed to calculate the stress distribution on the flow field plates and the membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) when the flexible fuel cell is bent.
