The Regolith Pit (2025) is a simulated lunar soil environment used for testing the Lunabotics rover. This project will include researching and constructing an enclosed simulated lunar environment similar to that used at NASA's Lunabotics Challenge.

The team is partnering with the Center for Planetary Science and Exploration, as well as the Earth Environmental and Planetary Sciences Department at UT to create new paid research positions for undergraduates for the facilitation of regolith research.
